Parqly — Privacy Policy
Parqly is a privacy-focused parking app that lets you save parking spots with one tap, run a reliable countdown timer, and receive reminders. Parqly stores all parking sessions locally on your device and works offline — no account required.
Effective date: May 12, 2026
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Parqly ("we", "us", or "the App") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use the Parqly mobile application. If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact us at syncify.solutions.app@gmail.com.
What This Policy Covers
This policy covers information collected and processed by the Parqly app on your mobile device, as well as the choices you have about that data. It also explains how you can access, export, or delete your data.
Short Summary (Plain Language)
- Parqly collects only the data necessary for the app to perform its core function: saving parking spots and running timers.
- The app stores data locally on your device (in-app storage). We do not collect or store your parking locations, history, or personal data on our servers.
- You can export your data from the app and you can permanently delete it (there's a "Clear History" option in Settings).
- If you enable push notifications, the app may register a device token with the push provider so notifications can be delivered; no location or history is shared with third parties for advertising or analytics.
Information We Collect
A. Data You Provide Directly
None required. Parqly does not require account creation, login, or any personally identifying information to use the app.
B. Data Automatically Collected or Generated by the App
Location data (precise)
When you tap to save a parking spot, Parqly records the device's location (latitude/longitude) and optional address/notes to store the parking session on your device.
Parking session history (app-generated)
Records of saved parking sessions, durations, and timestamps.
Device / diagnostic info (limited)
Basic device information (OS version, app version) may be used locally for debugging; Parqly does not automatically send analytics or crash reports to third parties unless you enable an explicit option.
C. Push Notification Tokens (Optional)
If you enable remote push notifications, the app may register a push token with a notification provider (Apple/Google/Expo) to receive notifications. This token does not include your location or history and is used only to route notifications.
How We Use Information
We use the data we collect to:
- Provide core app features: saving parking spots, starting/stopping timers, creating reminders, and showing history.
- Deliver notifications (local or remote) so you receive reminders about parking expiry.
- Allow you to export or clear your parking history.
We do NOT use your data for advertising, profiling, or analytics by default.
Do We Share Data With Third Parties?
No — Parqly does not share your location or parking history with third parties. The only exceptions:
- If you explicitly use the app's Export or Share features, you may share your data via email, messaging, or other apps.
- If you enable remote push notifications, we will share the push token with the notification service provider (Apple/Google/Expo) strictly to allow delivery of push messages. This is a limited technical sharing for message routing only.
Transfers and Encryption
Data at rest: Your parking sessions are stored locally on your device using the platform's standard local storage mechanism (AsyncStorage). They remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
Data in transit: Parqly does not routinely transmit location or history to remote servers. If any data is transmitted (for example, when you export data via email or when a push-provider exchange occurs), that transmission will be over standard secure channels (HTTPS/TLS) where applicable.
Encryption: Data stored on the device is subject to the security of the device and the operating system. Parqly does not currently encrypt the stored JSON in app storage; if you require stronger device-level protection, use a device passcode and OS-level encryption.
Retention
- Parking sessions and history are retained on the device until you manually clear history using the app's "Clear History" option or until you uninstall the app.
- If you export data, any exported copies are managed by you (e.g., your email, cloud storage) and are retained according to those services' terms.
Your Choices and Controls
Location permissions
You control whether Parqly can access location data via your device's permission settings. If you deny location permission, the app's core save-parking feature will not work.
Export data
Use Settings → Export My Data to download or share a JSON copy of your parking data.
Delete data
Use Settings → Clear History to permanently delete all stored parking sessions. Uninstalling the app also removes stored data.
Notifications
You can enable or disable reminders in the app settings and via your device's system notification settings.
Children
Parqly is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Third-Party Services and Links
Parqly may use third-party libraries and services (for maps, notifications, icons, etc.). We do not share your parking location or history with those third parties except when required to deliver notifications (see section above). The app may include links to third-party websites; those sites have their own privacy policies and practices which we do not control.
Legal Bases (If You Are in the EEA)
- Where required by law, we rely on your consent to access location data. The app asks for permission at runtime.
- Processing necessary to provide the app's core features (saving parking sessions) relies on legitimate interest/capacity to provide the service only to the extent local law allows. You can refuse or revoke consent in your device settings.
Data Safety (Summary for Play Console)
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect data stored on the device. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. You should protect your device with a passcode and keep your OS up to date.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at this URL and update the effective date. Significant changes will be noted in the app or via our support channels.
International Transfers
Because Parqly does not routinely transmit collected personal data to our servers, there are no regular international data transfers. If you export your data or choose to share it with third-party services, the handling and transfer of that data will be governed by the recipient's policies.
